Frequently Asked Questions

A great place to find out more about the attractions

How long does it take to get to Phillip Island, and then A Maze’N Things?

A Maze’N Things is about 1.5 hours from the Melbourne CBD with reasonable traffic, two hours in peak traffic. We are located on the main road about 6km out of Cowes.

Do adults have fun?

A Maze’N Things is aimed towards adults, but children love it just as well. Kids also love watching adults making fools of themselves.

Are you wheelchair/pram friendly?

A Maze’N Things is about 75% wheelchair friendly. A couple of rooms have slopes but we will endeavour to make sure you can enjoy these activities just the same.

How long does it take to go through?

It is a good idea to allow yourself at least three hours to do all of our activities. We have a great café where you can buy light lunches and snacks in between going through Puzzle Island and playing mini golf. There is a large gift shop where you can buy a puzzle or a photo as a souvenir of your visit.

What happens if we are not out in time?

We promise not to lock you in the maze overnight! Everyone is given plenty of warning as to our closing times.

How far are we from the penguins?

It will only take you 10 minutes to get to the Penguin Parade from A Maze’N Things.

Do we have an ATM?

Sorry we don't have an ATM on the premises but you can pay for admissions by eftpos or credit card.

If it is raining do we have to do the maze?

The maze is an inclusive price. But if it is raining you do not have to go through or alternatively we provide umbrellas.

Can our kids go through by themselves?

Children under the age of twelve need to go through with a paying adult as it can take up to two hours to go through the illusion rooms and the maze.

Is it an all day pass?

You could easily spend a whole day here, although admission gives you one time through Puzzle Island and the Illusion Rooms.

Can you actually get to the yellow flag?

Many have tried and failed, but it is possible to reach the yellow flag.

Is the Look Out! Slide suitable/safe for all ages? And does it cost extra?

The Look Out! Slide is part of the general admission price. There is a minimum age of 5 years and height of 120cm. Trained staff are there to ensure you enjoy the experience. We need to mention our hero, Dorothy who went down the slide at 85 years old!

If the question you want to ask isn't here, please contact us and we'll promptly get back to you with an answer.
